The purgeoire, also called a purgoire or African enema bulb, is a traditional tool used for intestinal cleansing and body detoxification. It can be associated with natural wellness practices and feminine hygiene.
 It is used in traditional enemas, particularly to relieve constipation, cleanse the colon by eliminating waste from the stomach, or to promote fertility in the intimate area in some African cultures. It can also be used in natural remedies to purify the body.
